Proceeding: International Symposium on Intangible Heritage along the Maritime Silkroad
On 13 September 2018, experts of the Asia-Pacific region gathered to discuss maritime topics. Organized and hosted by ICHCAP and the National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage, the symposium, in two sessions, allowed an opportunity to discuss issues related to traditional shipbuilding and navigation skills as well as traditional maritime knowledge in contemporary life.\n\nThis report is composed of seven presentation papers from seven countries, namely China, ROK, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, PNG, and Madagascar, regarding on transmission of traditional ship making and navigation skills.\n

2021 South Asia Sub-regional Meeting on Strengthening Creative Economy through Sustainable Development of ICH in South Asia
The sub-regional online meeting for ICH Safeguarding in South Asia was organized by ICHCAP in collaboration with banglanatak dot com and UNESCO New Delhi (Cluster Office for Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka) during 14th to 16th September 2021. The theme of the meeting was Strengthening Creative Economy through Sustainable Development of ICH. National experts from South Asian Member States, academicians, representative from World Bank, WIPO, representatives from UNESCO New Delhi Office, UNESCO Dhaka Office, UNESCO Kathmandu Office, and UNESCO Pakistan Office, UNESCO National Commission Sri Lanka, ICHCAP, banglanatak dot com, and international experts joined the meeting. \n\nThe primary purpose of the project was to better understand the interlinkage between ICH and economy in South Asia and simultaneously promote sustainable cooperation networks on regional and international levels. UNCTAD recotnized the event as part of the International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development.

Regional Collaboration for Safeguarding ICH in Asia and the Pacific: Tasks and Strategies
This report publication is a collection of the discussion papers presented on 28 November 2011 at the International Conference on Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage under the theme ‘Regional Collaboration for Safeguarding ICH in Asia and the Pacific: Tasks and Strategies’, which was held in commemoration of ICHCAP’s inauguration. The conference provided an opportunity to look into the current ICH status and environment of the five sub-regions within the Asia-Pacific region and to seek measures to overcome the many different challenges involved with ICH safeguarding.

2019 Sub-regional Meeting for ICH Safeguarding in South Asia
The 2019 Sub-Regional Meeting for Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguarding in South Asia: ICH in Education: Towards Joint Collaboration for Promoting ICH in Formal and Non-Formal Education jointly organized by ICHCAP and UNESCO Dhaka Office, was held from 24 to 26 June 2019 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.\n\nThis report is composed of nineteen presentation papers delivered at the meeting by national representatives, NGOs, and UNESCO Offices in Bangkok and Dhaka. In addition, the outcome document of the meeting is also affixed to put it on record the adopted recommendations of the participants in moving forward together.

The 3rd APHEN-ICH International Seminar – Diversity and Distinctiveness: Looking into Shared ICH in the Asia-Pacific
This seminar material contains presentation manuscripts that were announced at the 3rd APHEN-ICH International Seminar held on 18-19 Feburary 2021. ICHCAP hosted this event in cooperation with the UNESCO Bangkok Office and Korea National University of Cultural Heritage (KNUCH).\n\nThis seminar was held under the theme of Diversity and Distinctiveness: Looking into the Shared ICH in the Asia-Pacific, to re-assess that while fragile, intangible cultural heritage is an important factor in maintaining cultural diversity, connecting bounds, and enhancing international dialogue and peace.

Contribution of Intangible Cultural Heritage to Sustainable Development in South Asia
ICHCAP published a book in collaboration with banglanatak dot com, an UNESCO accredited NGO, about ICH NGOs’ contribution to sustainable development. The 29 NGOs’ story showcase us how intangible cultural heritage can drive, enable, and guarantee achieving SDGs along each of its three dimensions –the economic, social, and environment-underpinned by peace and security as fundamental prerequisites for sustainable development.\n\n

2017 Sub-regional South Asia Meeting Reports
Under the main priorities in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage (ICH) in South Asia, several capacity-building activities in the framework of the 2003 Convention have been implemented. ICHCAP, in collaboration with UNESCO Kathmandu Office and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, organized a sub-regional networking meeting in August 2017 to formally hold an exchange information and lessons learned pertaining to the implementation of the 2003 Convention.\n\nThis report is composed of country reports and expert presentations that were discussed during the sub-regional network meeting that generated participation from five South Asian Member States, namely Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka and international experts. In addition, recommended action document was prepared by the country representatives and experts.

2016 South Asia Sub-Regional Meeting of NGOs on Safeguarding ICH for Sustainable Development
The 2016 South-Asia Sub-regional Meeting of NGOs on Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage for Sustainable Development was held between 25 and 27 August at the Sanskruti Bhawan, Panjim, Goa, India. The meeting was organized by Contact Base, a social enterprise working under the trading style of banglanatak dot com and specializing in culture and development in collaboration with ICHCAP, UNESCO Office in New Delhi and the Directorate of Art and Culture under the Government of Goa.\n\nThirty NGOs from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka participated in the meeting. This report provides a detailed documentation of the meeting and the related activities.
