Ta-asobi of Hirugaya
Bountiful growth of rice is an earnest wish for Japanese who live on rice. Ritually imitating the movements of rice planting in the beginning of a year to pray for good harvest is one example of such imitative magic, and Ta-asobi of Hirugaya is one of those performances. Ta-asobi of Hirugaya, including a program of purifying the space, or imitating rice farming, is performed at the night of 11th February. The luck of accompaniment of musical instruments is one characteristic of Ta-asobi of Hirugaya. \n01: Ta-asobi of Hirugaya
