As part of the Cultural Partnership Initiative of 2016, ICHCAP invited ICH professionals from Malaysia, Mongolia, Sri Lanka and Tonga. Each participant researched ICH topics of interest that relate to comparative studies, sustainable development, traditional medicine, and safeguarding organizations. These reports were compiled into a bound publication and is now made available as an online download.

ICHCAP, with the support of the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea and the cooperation of the Fiji National Museum and Yap State Historic Preservation Office of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), hosted the four-day Pacific-ICHCAP Cooperative Workshop on Digitizing ICH-Related Audio-Visual Materials in various locations in Jeonju and Seoul. The workshop was organized to explore methods and technologies involved with digitizing analogue audiovisual resources related to intangible cultural heritage, with emphasis on Pacific art and traditions so that it can be approached and enjoyed around the world.\n\nThis publication includes the nine paper presentations as well as transcripts of the speeches and information related to the field visits.

The Conference on exploring and safeguarding shared ICH in East Asia jointly organized by ICHCAP and the UNESCO Beijing Office and hosted by the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO, was held on 10 September 2021.\n\nThis report is composed of eight case studies of East Asian Member States—namely China, Japan, Mongolia, and ROK.

Traditional knowledge of preserving food for a long time allows people to continue their lives even in harsh environments where food is scarce. ICHCAP published the book Living Heritage Series, Water: Interconnectivity between Intangible Cultural Heritage and Science in collaboration with the i-WSSM.\n\nThe subject of this publication is water. This book was made with contributions of nine authors with stories about ‘water management’ and ‘water and culture’ of the Asia Pacific region. The objective of the publication is to expand the boundary or interface of water centering on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 6, Clean Water and Sanitation.

Under the main priorities in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage (ICH) in South Asia, several capacity-building activities in the framework of the 2003 Convention have been implemented. ICHCAP, in collaboration with UNESCO Kathmandu Office and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, organized a sub-regional networking meeting in August 2017 to formally hold an exchange information and lessons learned pertaining to the implementation of the 2003 Convention.\n\nThis report is composed of country reports and expert presentations that were discussed during the sub-regional network meeting that generated participation from five South Asian Member States, namely Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka and international experts. In addition, recommended action document was prepared by the country representatives and experts.

Co-orgarnized by ICHCAP and Hue Monuments Conservation Centre (HMCC), this year’s Asia-Pacific ICH NGO Conference was held in Hue, Vietnam under the theme of ICH NGOs towards Sustainable Development of Communities.\n\n
