\nThe Finnish Folk Music Institute Is a Centre for the Research and Presentation of Finnish Folk Music and Dance. Its premises are in the Folk Art Centre at Kaustinen, Central Ostrobothnia. The extensive archive and reference library are accessible for any user. Bangladesh Resource Centre for Indigenous Knowledge (BARCIK) is founded with the mission to protect indigenous knowledge of Bangladesh. It mainly workd in the fields of biodiversity conservation and community development and engages in exploring and incorporating indigenous knowledge and practices into contemporary development programs. Throughout the years, BARCIK has promoted and contributed to integrating indigenous knowledge in development initiatives in its efforts to empowering local and indigenous communities.

Amagugu International Heritage Centre (AIHC) was established in 2010 out of the vision of Pathisa Nyathi, the founding director and owner. AIHC’s developmental thrust and resourcing ideology is informed by self-help and self-sufficiency which engenders a spirit of independence and pride. nnAIHC aims to serve as the centre of excellence in the documentation, preservation and promotion of indigenous cultural heritage. Its mission lies in providing a venue and organises a variety of cultural, educational and recreational programmes for the public to learn and appreciate different facets of indigenous heritage, history and cultural context.

The Nagorik Uddyog (NU), a leading human rights NGO, has been working for the protection of rights, dignity, and heritage of the Dalit and other excluded communities of Bangladesh since 1995. NUs activities includes the protection and safeguarding of languages, folk music, drama and dances, heritage dress and food, traditional knowledge, beliefs and rituals, traditional means of livelihoods, folktales and literature, arts, and festivals.

Mataginifale Women’s Group (MWG) was established in Avatele in the 1980s. Originally named Avatele Women’s Group, its members decided to change its name in the 1990s to better reflect the unique status of women. Mataginifale was a female warrior from Avatele born around 700 CE and was a great weaver that created local tapa cloth called hiapo.\nMWG has been active in and around Avatele over the last three decades. Its members fulfill various church obligations of the Avatele Fellowship of Christian Women and promote culture through language, crafts, traditions, and customs. They work in collaboration with the Avatele Village Council, the Ekalesia Kerisiano Avatele, and other youth groups.\nMWG’s membership consists of MWG’s membership consists of ninety-four women and girls between ages one and eighty-two. Its executive members are elected every three years, and meetings are held quarterly to share ideas and receive updates on various events. MWG works to safeguard Taoga Niue (ICH of Niue). One element is made up of traditional knowledge, customs, traditions, and Avatele history, and the other is traditional food. Vagahau Niue, the official language of Niue, is what underpins them all and upholds Niuean society.

Indian Institute of Social Sciences and Folklore Research has been working in the area of Indian folk life with all socioculture aspects. The institute arranged many community empowerment and income generation activities through intangible cultural heritage, like an aboriginal community empowerment program. The Indian Institute of Social Sciences and Folklore Research is a leading NGO of India for collection, conservation, safeguarding, and research of tangible and intangible folklore. The institute has created its own museum by collecting large number of artefacts related to the intangible culture of India and continuously organizes exhibitions to give new entrepreneurial lessons to the youth.
