Social and cultural significance | For the preservation of health and longevity, dried fruits and nut fruits are considered the most useful. Fruits of Uzbekistan are favorably different in taste. Another factor in favor of Uzbek dried fruits is natural drying methods, which allow you to preserve most vitamins and trace elements. All dried fruits and nuts that are grown and harvested in Uzbekistan are natural, not hybrid varieties. Some eastern countries, traditionally exporters of such products, purchase dried fruits and nuts in Uzbekistan for further processing, packaging there and selling in Europe and America under their labels. Recently, Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the development of the production and export of dried fruits and nuts. Work is underway to expand gardens, regionalize new varieties of fruits, nuts and pistachios, and provide tax preferences to farmers. A favorable investment environment serves as an important factor in the further expansion of trade and economic ties, attracting modern technologies. The legal framework on this topic is also being improved. For example, on May 7, 2020, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a decree "On measures to further support export activities," within the framework of which a mechanism for subsidizing the export of fruits and vegetables is launched. This industry is considered one of the important areas of further accelerated development of industrial potential in agriculture. |
