Description Naqqoshlik is drawing an ornament - a pattern built on rhythmic alternation and a combination of geometric or graphic elements, performed by means of painting, drawing, sculpture or embroidery. Uzbek national patterns have their own names, going back in history. Traditional Uzbek ornament is found in decorative art embroideries, in wood carvings, in paintings on clay and ceramics, on Uzbek fabrics, on buildings. At the heart of the ornament is a picture of simple things. For example, knives are designed to protect, a flowering garden is a symbol of fertility and agriculture. Each flower carries information: a scarlet poppy - the image of an innocent girl, a tulip - a symbol of purity, a rose - peace and beauty, wildflowers - a young man. Often, a different meaning was embedded in the image of flowers. For example, they believed that they carried healing power and health. The ornament creates a vector image in which a magical meaning is laid, reflecting the course of human life. This is an oriental vector style with geometric patterns. Geometric patterns have abstract forms: - zigzag lines - circles - polyhedra - stars - ornamental motifs - meander - human figures - stylized inscriptions. Ethnic patterns are folklore images, folk motifs in which a creative union of religion and culture is concluded. They carry a semantic and ritual load.
Social and cultural significance The national Uzbek ornament is unusually rich and surprisingly beautiful, it is significant and deep in essence, since it is based on ancient symbolism. Today, every type of applied art of Uzbekistan is rich in its special drawings and weaves, all ornamental motifs have an ancient folk name. As a rule, patterns reflect the surrounding nature, plant and animal world, everyday life of a person, his dreams and wishes. The image of each flower has its own symbolism: a young man was marked with a field cornflower, a young girl with a scarlet poppy, a rose symbolized peace and beauty, and a tulip - innocence and purity. In amazing ornaments adorning examples of folk art, there are often images of plants that, according to our ancestors, had any healing property, brought beneficence or served as an obereg. And now blue-turquoise glaze and characteristic plant ornaments are the most popular in Uzbekistan. Such dishes and pials can be easily presented in the kitchen, both mainly as dishes and in the form of decorative decoration. Masters often saturated their bizarre patterns with ancient folk symbols of the Sun, Earth and Moon, stars and sky. The universe had its symbolic image, which was conditionally depicted as a "tree of life" in the form of fabulous lush bushes or colorful bouquets in bizarre vases. Undulating and flowing patterns are associated with the agricultural cult of fertility, representing the flows of life-giving water. Such drawings are a vivid symbol of the veneration of ancient history and pride in today's achievements. Subtle, openwork and attractive ornaments, hiding centuries-old secrets and hidden signs, represent the talent and poetic soul of the Uzbek people.
