Social and cultural significance |
Folk musical creativity is a unique phenomenon of the artistic culture of society. It reflects the national artistic consciousness and mentality of a people, it affirms the aesthetic values of the people. Folk music culture is the primary basis of the musical culture of society, it is on the basis of folk music that a professional music school is formed. Pop music is closely related to ethnic musical traditions. Folklore traditions also penetrate into modern areas of musical art (folk rock, etc.). Arrangements of folk melodies are extremely popular. It is important to understand the essence of folklore as a phenomenon and a special layer of artistic culture, its syncretic nature.
Modern folklore is a complex phenomenon and contradictory in some aspects. It is in constant movement and development: some forms and genres are active, new forms and works (song folklore) arise on their basis, others are preserved only partially. In some particular groups of the population are transformed and rethought; some are forgotten and die off (conspiracies, some art crafts, rituals, some genres of folklore theater). The problem of the modern state of folklore includes two aspects: the state and fate of folklore in our era, the ratio of tradition and innovation in it and the role of folklore in professional amateur culture. It is generally recognized that now the sphere of active life of folklore is narrowing in connection with the peculiarities of the socio-economic development of society. But it is unlawful to associate the state of folklore only with economic difficulties, with poor or good preservation of cultural and everyday traditions. It is necessary to clearly and clearly understand the objective truth: folklore in our time functions, since the ways of life that correspond to the tradition through which it is able to exist are preserved. In particular, this is the meaning of the element. |
