According to written sources and archeological findings gold embroidery is one of the leading forms of craftsmanship of the city.At the end of the XIX – beginning of the ХХ century Bukhara was the center of crafts associated with gold embroidery. Notably, at that time gold embroidery was mostly dealt by men.
