These dances are performed to express gratitude to bambarayon who has preserved the paddy spirit every year, to prevent misfortunes, at feasts and when moving to a new longhouse. The music accompaniment is produced by four gongs which is sandangau, somponukul, soludon, pompo, tontog and a drum called tawag-tawag. |
