Description |
We live in an era of seemingly perpetual emergency, under threat from natural hazard and anthropogenic disasters, pandemics, and conflict, all of which are now unfolding under the compounding influence of climate change. Much of the world’s ICH will be placed in a position of risk through this unfolding climate emergency, but ICH also has an important role to play in limiting exposure to these threats and equipping communities with the knowledge and tools necessary to adapt to changes in their environments. The intersection of climate change and ICH is now a topic of immediate relevance to all our lives. |
