Description The Jeonbuk Traditional Culture Research Center is a non-profit research organization that researches the region’s culture based on local history and folk culture data, and works to promote public enjoyment of traditional culture. Since its establishment in March 1998, we have been working towards the following objectives. - Researching the history and cultural customs of Jeonbuk - Discovering and surveying materials related to the cultural heritage of Jeonbuk - Publishing and distributing “Introduction to Regional Culture” - Development of traditional culture promotion program - Researching ways to utilize cultural heritage as tourism resource . Developing tourism products for the enjoyment of region specific cultural resources We believe that region specific intangible heritage contains the lives of our people, and folk expressions are the energy of the city in the temporal continuation within the same space. Here, we would like to introduce the efforts we have made to restore and sustain regional folk customs that are being forgotten as well as the achievements thereof.
