| Description | 선박은 필리핀 남부 지역 타위타위에 거주하는 사마(Sama)족 삶에 중요한 수단으로 거주, 조업, 운송 등에 사용되며 다양한 종류의 배가 있다. 그중 레파(lepa)는 사마족의 선상 가옥으로, 보고는 조업에 사용되며, 페드다스(Ped-das)는 가장 작은 배로 큰 배를 정박 후 배에서 물가로 이동하는 데 사용한다. 선박 건조에는 내구성이 뛰어난 목재를 사용하며, 건조가 완료되면 풍요와 안전을 기원하는 ‘두와’라는 의식을 진행한다. 최근 육지 거주 비중이 높아지면서 선박을 건조하는 일이 크게 줄었으나, 여전히 선박 제작은 사마족의 삶에 중요한 부분이다. | ||
