
Description | 모리오난(Moryonan) 축제는 필리핀 마린두크(Marinduque)섬에서 매년 성스러운 주간에 열리는 사순절 전통이다. 16세기 스페인 선교사들이 필리핀에 로마 가톨릭 신앙을 전하면서 기독교 문화가 필리핀 여러 도서 지역에 퍼졌으며 기독교 신앙, 의식, 그리고 관행이 필리핀 내 다양한 민족들의 문화로 흡수됐다. 축제 기간 동안 모리온이라 불리는 성경에 등장하는 로마 군인의 복장과 탈을 쓴 사람들이 거리를 활보한다. 신자들은 모리오난 축제에 참여하며 신에게 가슴으로 자비를 구하고 가정의 안녕과 번영을 기원한다. | ||
